Featured Corporate Communication Videos:
Magnet
Nursing
VCU
Health System has been given the rare designation of being
a Magnet Hospital, making it one of the top hospitals in the
country in Nursing Care and Competence.
Joe
Kuttenkuer, Melissa Gordon and Eric prepared this video commemorating
this extraordinary distinction.
St.
Mary’s Hospital 40th Anniversary
It
was a great honor to produce the 40th Anniversary Celebration video
of St. Mary’s Hospital. Aside from being the place where
my daughter Sophia was born in 2004, St. Mary’s mission as
part of the Sisters of Bon Secours to provide community-style quality
care to the community in an era of corporate health care is quite
impressive.
The video features a group of Sisters who have served St. Mary’s
throughout its history. These extraordinary women are Doctors,
Nurses, Administrators and Executives and they have all dedicated
their lives to caring for sick and injured patients, new mothers
and people of low income.

Landmark
Communications
EAF won a region-wide bidding process to help Landmark Communications, owners
of the Weather Channel, two TV stations and dozens of newspapers across the country
formally introduce itself it population of associates spread across the country.
The multi-billion dollar Media company is the parent of Norfolk’s
Virginian Pilot and has a history that rich is rags to riches entrepreneurship,
bravely fighting off racism in the Jim Crow south, and leading the
country today in blending high technology with the highest of ethical
standards.

Eric was honored to spend time with both Frank Batten, Sr. and Frank
Batten, Jr., who has, over the last 5 years moved Landmark smoothly
and successfully into the 21st century. Frank Sr. turned the company
he inherited from his uncle and guardian Samuel Slover and created
a media giant through extraordinary innovation. Mr. Batten’s
dedication to applying only most stringent ethical standards is legendary
in American business and that comes across quite clearly in the video.
This is Landmark is being distributed across the country this year and will be
used to help orient new associates.
Virginia
Commonwealth University — Recruiting
Eric Futterman was hired by Virginia Commonwealth University's School
of Nursing to write, produce and direct a dynamic recruitment video
for the V.C.U. School of Nursing. This piece was sent across the country
to showcase the extraordinary hands-on educational experience provided
by the School of Nursing and encourages people of all ages and professions
to explore the profession.
Joe Kuttenkuler of V.C.U. News Services shot and edited the
piece on Media 100. Dave Gau, owner of Shave FX Animations
created
the title
page and biographical elements. Glen Piegari provided expert
sound, which
was vital in that much of the footage was shot on the run
at VCU Medical Center Hospitals.
Virginia Commonwealth University's growing stature across the
country as an institution of academic excellence, medical
breakthroughs and scientific research is a source of pride;
since I'm a graduate of
the University.

So it was a real thrill to produce the VCU New Hire Orientation
video that will be shown to all new VCU employees. The video
tells the
story of VCU's creation, where the University is headed in
the future and
explains the Benefits Package.
Joe Kuttenkuler of VCU News Services shot all of this and left me no
shortage of great images with which to edit. Mike Koplin provided
lighting and grip work on the
New Hire Orientation

Owens & Minor —
Gil Minor Tribute
EAF Custom Communication was chosen to produce the tribute video
to retiring CEO Gil Minor of Owens & Minor. Gil Minor is clearly one of the class
acts in the world of CEOs, turning this 125 year old company into a
$4 billion dollar a year success story and doing so by employing
the highest of ethical standards.
It was truly an honor to produce this video for my friends at Owens & Minor.
Profit Specialist
When Owens & Minor wanted to communicate a new sales philosophy
throughout the country we worked to produce a series of video
seminars featuring
various executives speaking about the different elements
in the Profit Specialist concept.
Smoking Cessation
When Owens & Minor wanted to create a healthier atmosphere in its
company they hired EAF to produce a video designed to inspire employees
to find a way to quit. Featuring the stories of O&M Execs
who quit, the video is another element in the achievement
of high ethical
standards
company wide.
